About two magpies
If you’ve followed our journey since 2013, you’ll know we love East Anglia. The friendly local people who work with us. The land that supplies many of our ingredients. And, of course, customers like you.
We’ve grown from our humble beginnings in Southwold. Now we have a collection of ten bakery cafes across Suffolk and Norfolk, a bake school, and an artisan bakery. Every day our amazing team of over 180 bakers, pastry chefs and baristas bring expertise and passion to what they do best – transforming quality ingredients into delicious products and putting customer service first.
Walpole Artisan Bakery
This is where the baking (AKA magic) happens.
Our bakers turn quality ingredients into irresistible, freshly baked goods. Then our lovely drivers deliver our goodies from Walpole to each Two Magpies bakery cafe every day.
Our Suffolk bakery team is led by Fern, our brilliant Back of House Manager. We have a 5-star food hygiene rating and fully certified HACCP procedures in place for top-tier food safety.
Our Local Suppliers
We insist on the absolute best quality for our artisan products. And we buy local, whenever we can:
Easters of Norwich supply our fruit and veg. We buy skyr-style yoghurt and Baron Bigod cheese from Fen Farm Dairy in Bungay, Suffolk. The meat, including the pork in our famous sausage rolls, comes from Lane Farm in Brundish. We buy our flour from Marriages in Essex. Use Adnams Broadside for our bread pudding. Havensfield Eggs from Hoxne, Suffolk. Norfolk honey from Leigh’s Bees. Maldon sea salt from Essex.
When the best isn’t on our doorstep, we’ll go further afield; Callebaut Belgian chocolate, or Allpress hot-air roasted coffee and Lescure French butter for the perfect pastry lamination.
